Extended Hours

 

In response to patient suggestions, we have extended our opening hours. We now provide late appointments on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at Towcester until 8.00 pm.  We hope this will enable patients who work or have other day time commitments to see a doctor at a time more suited to their working commitments.

 

These appointments are bookable up to 6 weeks in advance.

 

Please be aware that the reception staff will be at a minimum on these evenings and will do their best to help with any queries at the time of your visit. It may however mean that on some occasions we have to respond to some requests the following day when all other facilities such as hospital administration and outpatients are open.

 

Blood tests cannot be carried out in the evenings. They can only be done in the morning, as the samples need to be transported promptly to the lab.  

 

We would welcome any feedback that you may have about this new service.

 

Consultation is by appointment.  You can book up to six weeks in advance by;

 

· Telephone, 01327 323 900 for Towcester, or 01327 857 240 for Silverstone. The practices are linked and can book appointments for each other.

· In person at either surgery.

· Online, using SystmOnline. You can easily register with us to be able to use this service - please speak to reception.

 

For an urgent problem, you will be seen the same day, but it may be at Silverstone or Towcester. Please call as early as possible in the day. The phones come on at 8am.

Emergencies will be seen immediately without an appointment.  

 

Please notify the surgery if you are unable to attend or wish to cancel an appointment.

 

 

Home Visits

Except in an emergency, please telephone before 10.00 am for a home visit.

 

‘Book on the day’ clinic

This is a clinic run jointly by the duty doctor and nurse daily in the mornings. This is available for patients with urgent problems to be seen on the day they ring. You will be seen by a doctor and/or a nurse. The nurse can deal with most problems, however, if they feel that you need to see the doctor, this will be arranged directly.

 

Out of Hours

If you need urgent advice or a visit between 6.30pm and 8.00am weekdays, or 8.00 am  Saturday to 8.00 am Monday morning, the calls will be answered by the Nenedoc service.  The number to call during these times is  03336 664 664.

 

Telephone Consultations

If you would like to talk to a doctor or a nurse for advice or any problem that does not require an appointment, the reception staff can take your telephone number if the doctor or nurse is not available and they will return your call. This will usually be at the end of the morning or afternoon surgery, please tell reception if this is not convenient. Please note that all telephone calls are recorded for security and training purposes.

Monday, Thursday and Friday 8.30am-6.30pm. Tuesday 8.30am-8pm.

 

Dr Ben Burgess

Monday, Tuesday and Friday 8.30am-6.30pm. Wednesday 8.30am-8pm.

 

 

Doctor’s appointments are available at the Brook Health Centre during all of these times, and additionally at Silverstone on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings, and Tuesday afternoons.

Monday—Wednesday 8am—8pm,

Thursday and Friday 8am—6.30pm.

 

Nurses’ appointments are available during the above times, and additionally at Silverstone every weekday morning.

Silverstone Surgery Opening Hours

You can book appointments up to six weeks in advance. 

 

This is the easiest option for you to see a doctor or nurse of your choice, at a time most convenient to you.
